❤ 爱的小屋 Part 1.3 ❤ - Sharing some Excitement Journey for Our Love Nest - Our First Visit

Since we chosen the SOBF category, therefore we can have a site/area visit. So few days before our appointment date, we went down to Canberra to view some of the projects that are available for us to choose.

Below are some of the photos that were taken during our 1st visit at the area for Eastlawn project.

❤ 爱的小屋 Part 1.2 ❤ - Sourcing for Interior Designer aka ID

At first, I was quite scared to source ID to quote for our new home as I am unsure where to start and I'm afraid later those ID ask me questions that I was unable to answer. Although, I am working as a purchaser, asking for quote is easy job for me. But just don't know this case why I'm so scare... haha... But luckily, I have good friends that advice/teach me on how to ask for quotes.

I started to ask for quotes around just after we had signed for the agreement for lease on 25 Jan 2017. I have sent out our requirements to quite a few IDs. But, I think tat period was about Lunar New Year period, respond from the ID firms were rather slow.

When times passed by, individual quote from different ID Firms had come in. In fact, I have asked more than 10 ID firms. Abit ridiculous right? Haha.. I just enjoy asking quote from them to compare. Maybe is 职业病.. cos I working as a Purchaser~

Alot right?? When I compiled the quotes, I also shocked. Among all 17 IDs, we only met up a few of the IDs to discuss further after compared their quotes. We met up like, Diamon'Tif, Design 4 Space, Transform, 3D Innovation, Posh Living, WHST, New Interior, North West, ID Gallery etc....

Meeting up the ID was quite a fun things. As different ID gave different ideas of layout as well as new things to learn from them about renovation. Really thanks those IDs that we have met. There are always very nice and friendly ID and some was like... er...  (>_<)

Sourcing for ID have about few months plus and now we have actually shortlisted 4 of them.

They are, Northwest, Jialux and ID Gallery. Their price was very competitive and attractive...

Now, we are in the mid of confirming one of the ID... Guess who??

❤ 爱的小屋 Part 1 ❤ - Our Balloting Progress

Now.. something exciting coming up will be my upcoming love nest.. that is why I wanted to start writing about this before when years goes by... I tend to forget the process of this excitement...

Let's throw back... About 2 years back, we had tried our 1st balloting for a BTO project at Woodlands as it was near SX's parents home. But we were unable to get our ideal unit so we forgo our chance. We waited for a year and we tried for another BTO project that was launched back on May 2015 at Sembawang. We tried to ballot that it because of the balcony. Yes, HDB BTO that has balcony.. I love balcony.. But.. then we got a reply from HDB, informing us that our queue was actually out of the queue number and we are at the waiting list.. We waited for quite sometime... but unfortunately, HDB wrote us a letter again that there wasn't any units left. So HDB encourage us to try for the next BTO instead.

Finally this was our 3rd chance to ballot a flat.. instead of getting a BTO, we tried for SOBF Nov 2015 project. This was the biggest SOBF balloting that HDB have launched, it was like almost all estate in Singapore that people can choose from. BTO waiting period was about 3-5 years depending on what project and location. To shorten the waiting time, so we tired for SOBF instead. 

Since this was the SOBF and we able to choose which estate we want. Again, we tried for the Sembawang area. For Sembawang itself, there are quite a few projects for us to choose from for the area at Canberra, eg: Eastbank, Eastbrook, Eastcrown, Eastlace and Eastlawn.

We got the Queue No. H0485. Upon our selection of units, there are many things that need to take in for consideration. Like which project we preferred. As some projects, there were a mixture of different type of flat, 3 rooms, 4 rooms, 5 rooms, rental flats, etc.. And also the neighboring development, unit at facing where etc.. Among the few projects at Canberra, we haven chosen Eastlawn. This project only have 4 & 5 rooms unit and we have chosen 4 rooms.

We have missed out alot of the process... But still very thankful for everything.. ❤
